Adam Tucker, 37, of Covington was arrested for allegedly making threats on social media against correctional officers, medical staff, and employees of Cardinal Health, including its CEO. Authorities said the threats, which began in June 2025 and continued through mid-September, targeted staff at the Shelby County correctional facility, Regional One Health, and Cardinal Health. Police stated, "Upon being notified of the most recent social media posts, detectives and agents quickly located Tucker, began collecting evidence at his residence and took him into custody," as per WREG. Tucker admitted to creating the posts.
FOX13 Memphis reported that Tucker was previously arrested in March 2025 on assault charges after making threats against Tipton County Sheriff Shannon Beasley. Those charges are still pending. Before these incidents, Tucker had a criminal record that included an attempted vehicle theft while under the influence, which resulted in charges of assault, public intoxication, and theft of property.
According to the Covington Tennessee Police Department on their Facebook page, Tucker has been charged for making online threats. Chief Donna Turner stated, “These are serious and dangerous threats directed at jail and medical personnel, and we cannot permit threats of this nature to become action.” Police said they are working with the District Attorney’s Office on prosecution, and Tucker’s arraignment is set for later in September 2025. The case is still under investigation, and anyone with information is asked to contact the Criminal Investigations Division by phone or social media.
