The most recent case against McManus began in late August, when Louisiana State Police Special Victims Unit (LSP SVU) detectives, in a joint effort with the FBI, launched an investigation following allegations that McManus attempted to solicit a minor via computer.
Caught in the web of his own alleged transgressions, McManus is suspected of engaging in conversations filled with sexual content with someone he believed was a 15-year-old juvenile. Yesterday, authorities confirmed that he was apprehended and is facing charges of Computer-Aided Solicitation of a Minor and Indecent Behavior with Juveniles. According to the Louisiana State Police report, he was booked into the Livingston Parish Jail, while the investigation continues.
This arrest follows an earlier incident from 2023, wherein McManus was taken into custody by the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation (LBI) on charges related to the possession of child pornography involving juveniles under the age of 13. These recurrent legal troubles paint a disturbing pattern of allegations pointing to his involvement in crimes against children.
