
A Dutchtown woman was injured during a robbery that occurred shortly before 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, according to St. Louis police. The officers responded to a call for a cutting in the 3700 block of Chippewa, where they found a 29-year-old victim with injuries. SLMPD reports indicate that the woman suffered a laceration to her neck and a cut to her hand.
The victim recounted that while sitting inside her vehicle at the location an unknown female suspect suddenly opened the car door. The assailant allegedly threatened her with a knife and told her not to move. In a desperate move to defend herself, the victim told officers, "she grabbed the knife and was stabbed in the neck while doing so." The assailant proceeded to steal the woman’s purse which contained her money, as reported by the SLMPD.
In the aftermath of the attack, the injured woman managed to flee the scene despite her injuries. Emergency Medical Services responded and swiftly transported her to the hospital, where she was listed in serious but stable condition. The search for the suspect remains active as district 1 investigators persist in their efforts to solve this disturbing case.
