
Tragedy struck early Tuesday morning in an East El Paso neighborhood as a shooting left a man dead and a woman injured. According to Detective Judy Oviedo of the El Paso Police, officers responded to reports of gunfire at approximately 3:30 a.m. on the 1700 block of Dale Douglas, as reported by KTSM. Upon arrival, they discovered two victims, a man and a woman, both suffering from gunshot wounds.
The scene was located near the intersection of Dale Douglas Drive and Trawood Drive, prompting a temporary closure of the area due to the ongoing investigation. A man in his 30s was pronounced dead at the location, while the woman, said to be in her 20s, was transported to a local hospital with injuries. Details on her condition have not been disclosed, as indicated by the information provided by the El Paso Times.
Homicide detectives from the Crimes Against Persons Unit, alongside crime scene investigators, are currently handling the case, seeking to unearth the events that led to one death and injury. The police are actively working to gather more information and determine if there are any suspects related to the incident.
