
The SWAT team of Eden Prairie has recently demonstrated its prowess at the Minnesota Tactical Officers Association’s annual conference. As reported by the official Eden Prairie Police Department blog, the team secured top honors in multiple challenging events at Camp Ripley, showcasing their tactical acumen among 10 other teams and 135 SWAT operators.
Attaining victory in both the Top Gun category and the Iron Team competition, the EPPD SWAT, inclusive of negotiators and tactical dispatchers, proved their capabilities. Notably, an individual operator from the Eden Prairie team claimed first place in the sniper event. Each of these competitions put to the test, the tactical dispatchers seamlessly coordinated under the stress of real-time operations, immense precision, and operational fitness.
Congratulations poured in, celebrating the team's achievements. An adept handling of firearms saw the EPPD win the Top Gun category, where their marksmanship and efficiency with various weapons were assessed and scored rigorously.
