El Paso Community College (EPCC), alongside The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) and Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso (TTUHSC El Paso), is stepping up to provide Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) Informational Sessions this fall. The trio of educational institutions aims to demystify the cost of college and present financial aid options available to students and their families.
According to EPCC News, experts from all three schools will provide step-by-step guidance on the true cost of college, explain how financial aid works, and explore opportunities to make higher education more affordable. These sessions include individual support for those attending in completing the FAFSA and the Texas Application for State Financial Aid (TASFA).
The sessions are scheduled at various locations across the region to ensure they are accessible to as many families as possible. The dates and venues range from the Region 19 Education Service Center to high schools like Horizon and San Elizario. Sessions are slated for October and November, with each event lasting four hours, dedicated to helping parents and students navigate the often-confusing financial aid landscape.
