An Endangered missing adult alert has been issued for a Cincinnati man, John Brough, who is suffering from dementia and has not been seen since yesterday afternoon. According to LOCAL12, Brough was last observed leaving his residence on Coralberry Ct. in Hamilton County, and concerns for his safety have escalated due to his condition.
The 78-year-old is described as being 6 feet tall and weighing approximately 230 pounds, with blond hair and blue eyes. He was last seen dressed in a white t-shirt, gray shorts, and black gym shoes. Brough is believed to be driving a tan 2008 Ford Escape, bearing Ohio plate number JUF4727. Officials have stressed the urgency of the situation, encouraging the public to call 911 should they encounter Brough or the vehicle, as reported by FOX19.
Further details provided by WCPO indicate that Brough drove away from his home around 2:30 p.m. yesterday. While the alert mentions blond hair, the supplied photograph suggests he may appear bald, he still has blue eyes. The local community is being urged to stay vigilant and report any sightings directly to the Cincinnati Emergency Communication Center at 513.263.8121.
Authorities are concerned due to the added risk dementia poses to Brough's well-being, and the statewide Missing Adult Alert underscores the seriousness with which this case is being approached. "Mr. Brough suffers from dementia and law enforcement is concerned for his safety," the police observed in the alert bulletin, according to FOX19 report. The Cincinnati Emergency Communication Center is coordinating efforts and the police department has not released any further updates at this time.
