Last Saturday, a wrong-way crash on Interstate 84 in Multnomah County killed 40-year-old Jeffrey Allen Flood and seriously injured another driver. The crash occurred near milepost 24, according to the Oregon State Police.
The Oregon State Police reported that a westbound BMW X3 driven by 26-year-old Autumn Breeze Willis from Beaverton entered the eastbound lanes and collided head-on with Flood's Tesla Model Y. The Tesla caught fire and was completely destroyed. Flood died at the scene.
Willis was taken to a hospital after a crash that closed the highway for about five hours. The Oregon State Police, Corbett Fire, the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office, and ODOT investigated the scene. The highway closure caused traffic delays, and the investigation is ongoing with no further details released.
