Fayetteville will host Shred & Recycle Day at City Center Park on Saturday next week starting at 9 a.m. According to the City of Fayetteville, the free event runs for three hours and allows residents to bring up to 10 small boxes or three small bags of paper for shredding, along with most electronics for recycling.

Vehicles will enter from Stonewall Avenue West and be directed to the shredding and recycling stations. Papers must be free of binders, paperclips, CDs, cardboard, and similar items to protect equipment.

Electronics recycling also has restrictions. CRT monitors, television sets, unsealed batteries, and soft pack lithium-ion batteries will not be accepted. The city has published a complete list of acceptable and non-acceptable items on its website for residents to review before the event.
