The City of San José was rocked by a brazen armed robbery back in June, and now the San José Police Department has announced significant progress in the case. Five male juveniles from Livermore have been arrested in connection with the incident that took place at a local casino business, according to a press release from the San José Police Department.
During the robbery, the victim was met with violence, as one of the suspects brandished a firearm and then proceeded to assault him with the handle of the gun. Fleeing with the victim’s personal belongings and an estimated $2,000, the suspects, ranging from 12 to 18 years of age, left the victim to be later treated for non-life-threatening injuries. After a comprehensive investigation with multiple departments in play, authorities located all five suspects in Livermore last Wednesday and Thursday.
San José Police Department's Robbery Unit Detectives executed residential search warrants, finding evidence linking the juveniles to the crime. The information led to the apprehension of the suspects, who were subsequently booked into Juvenile Hall. The suspects have been charged with robbery, assault with a deadly weapon, and brandishing a firearm, as outlined in the San José Police press release. Anyone with additional information is urged to contact Detective Leonard of the Robbery Unit.
