Two people died in a flash flood on San Antonio’s North Side. On Monday, police were alerted by friends who had not seen the pair. Both victims, who were homeless, were found drowned, according to KTSA.
Police found one body along Salado Creek near Highway 281 and Wurzbach Parkway. A second victim was found nearby. Heavy rains may have swept them away. Another person reported missing was found safe on Monday afternoon.
On the 12500 block of Maltsberger Lane, friends reported two young adults missing. Chief William McManus of the San Antonio Police Department said, "When they searched the area, they found the bodies of a man and woman," as reported by KENS 5. Emergency services responded, but heavy rainfall on Sunday night caused a flood that led to their deaths. The names and ages of the victims have not been released.
