A strong-arm robbery occurred at Pleasanton Tennis and Community Park, generating a rapid response from local law enforcement. According to a social media post by the Pleasanton Police Department, the incident occurred on Monday, following the victim's departure from a local bus. As reported, the individual, a resident of Pleasanton, became aware of several male juveniles trailing behind him from the bus into the park. These suspects, soon making their intentions clear, aggressively demanded the victim's cell phone and other personal items, eventually using physical force to secure them before fleeing the scene.
Efforts to track down the suspects were bolstered by air support from East Bay Regional Parks Police, culminating in the apprehension of four individuals. Described as ages 12-15 and hailing from Stockton, the apprehended youths were located near Shenandoah Court and taken into custody.
After their arrest, they were booked into the Alameda County Juvenile Justice Center on counts of robbery. The police department's swift action allowed the victim to be momentarily relieved, having sustained only minor injuries during the robbery, and his property was recovered.
