Franklin High School has claimed victory in the El Paso ISD's inaugural Attendance Battle, narrowly outperforming Coronado High School in a contest that emphasizes the importance of daily attendance.

The competition, which ran from Sept. 22-24, culminated in the reveal of the winning school during the Franklin vs. Coronado football game. Franklin High, demonstrating an unwavering commitment from students and staff to maintain a consistent presence, was then presented with the Attendance Championship Belt.

"This friendly competition lit a spark on our campus," Franklin Principal Amanda Bowser was quoted as saying, "Our students and staff rallied together to make attendance a priority, and we are so proud of their effort. Winning the belt is exciting, but what matters most is showing our Cougars that being in school every day helps them succeed," as per El Paso ISD.
