Gastonia Police Department recently took to social media to share some personnel updates. In a Facebook post dated yesterday, the department proudly announced the upcoming promotions of three of its officers, set to take effect from October 4. The promoted officers are Detective Edge and Detective Williams, both stepping up to the position of Patrol Sergeant, and Sergeant Wood, who is to be uplifted to Lieutenant for A-Rotation.
The announcement comes as the department seeks to publicly recognize the hard work and leadership of these individuals. Detective Edge and Williams have earned their stripes, to be elevated to the role of Patrol Sergeants, a testament to their diligent service in the field of detective work. Sergeant Wood is similarly prepared to don the mantle of lieutenant, after establishing himself as a reliable and proactive member of the force.
