In a recent ceremony, three local first responders from the City of Germantown were praised for their exemplary service to the community. The honors were bestowed by the Isaac Shelby Chapter of the Tennessee Society of the Sons of the American Revolution. The group recognized individuals who have not only fulfilled their duties but exceeded expectations in their respective fields of work.
Among the recipients was Officer Jimmy White of the Germantown Police Department, who was awarded the Law Enforcement Commendation and Medal. With a career spanning over four decades, White has shown to consistently provided compassionate and professional service. Also honored were Driver/Paramedic Stevie Holley and Driver/Paramedic Chris Mielenz, both from the Germantown Fire Department. Holley took home the Emergency Medical Services Commendation and Medal, being singled out for not just excellent service as an EMS provider but also for enhancing the department's training and quality assurance programs. Mielenz earned the Fire Safety Commendation and Medal, recognized especially for his leadership in the Learning About Fire Safety program and his commitment to spreading knowledge about CPR to the public.
