
In a blatant daylight heist, the Gilroy Police Department reported responding to an armed robbery at the US Bank on the 700 block of First Street in Gilroy. On their social media channels, the department issued an alert for a suspect who, at approximately 5 PM yesterday, stormed into the bank brandishing a handgun. The "suspect went into the bank armed with a handgun, approached the teller and demanded money," detailed the Gilroy Police Department.
Per the same post, the brazen individual fled the scene on foot, escaping with an undisclosed sum of money. Following the robbery, he was last seen making his way southbound on Kipling Circle heading towards Tennyson Drive. Given the urgency, the Gilroy Police seek assistance from the public, urging witnesses or those with any information concerning the suspect's identity to come forward.
