An operation led by the Hercules Police Department, in collaboration with the Contra Costa County Probation Department and Major Crimes Task Force, resulted in the arrest of a local resident and the seizure of illegal firearms, authorities announced.
The events unfolded on Monday, when Hercules Police received a be-on-the-lookout alert from a Solano County agency regarding a stolen vehicle. The suspect, identified as Hercules resident Tikyel Madden, was tracked down during the coordinated effort. Madden, who was on formal probation for felony offenses in Contra Costa County, was apprehended without incident, the police department reported on social media.
A subsequent probation search at Madden's residence unearthed two fully loaded, unregistered firearms. The weapons were promptly confiscated and tagged as evidence. The official social media pledge of the Hercules Police appreciated the input and assistance from their allied agency partners, crediting the collaborative work for maintaining the safety and security of the Hercules community.
