On September 1, Horizon City Police Department officers arrested following a routine traffic stop, which led to the apprehension of an individual with outstanding felony warrants. The incident occurred near Horizon Blvd. and Darrington in Horizon City.
The driver, identified as Claudia Delgadillo, had two active felony warrants related to the possession of controlled substances, which the El Paso County Sheriff's Office had issued. A simple traffic stop made by the Horizon City Police Department resulted in her arrest at approximately 9:03 p.m.
According to the Horizon City Police Department's Facebook page, the HCPD detailed the incident and affirmed their commitment to community safety, citing "strong partnerships and proactive enforcement."
Delgadillo was taken into custody without incident and was processed by the HCPD. Following the procedure, she was referred to the EPCSO for transport. According to the HCPD, it is through efforts like these, subtle and often unnoticed, that the weave of public safety is tightened around the Horizon community.
