With a legacy spanning two decades, Izzy’s on the Peninsula took to social media to inform patrons that October 4th will mark their final dinner service. Known for its inviting ambiance and dedication to customer service, they left an impact on the San Carlos dining scene that will be remembered long after its final plate is served.
According to a social media post cited by What Now San Francisco, Izzy's announced the closure yesterday. The restaurant has been a fixture at 525 Skyway Road, where guests have enjoyed "thousands of meals served, special moments shared, and most of all, the dedication of our team who have delivered warm, genuine hospitality day after day." Though the San Carlos location is saying goodbye, the dedication to providing a memorable dining experience continues at their flagship restaurant in San Francisco's Marina District.
The journey for Izzy’s Steaks & Chops began on Steiner Street in San Francisco in 1987, where they established themselves as a Bay Area dining essential, combining classic steakhouse fare with contemporary touches. Building on their success, Izzy's opened the Peninsula outpost to bring their signature offerings, a mix of hand-cut steaks, local seafood, and traditional sides, to San Carlos residents and visitors.
