As the Tennessee Volunteers prepare for their home opener, Knoxville Area Transit (KAT) is launching convenient game-day shuttles for fans traveling to Neyland Stadium. Gone are the days of the headache-inducing game-day traffic. Instead, fans can grab a shuttle ride directly to the excitement of college football on Saturday.

With shuttle services starting three hours before kick-off, KAT ensures fans have ample time to partake in pre-game festivities, according to WVLT. For SEC games, an additional pickup location at Willow Avenue, near Covenant Health Park, is being offered. In a digital pivot, KAT's services have gone cashless—so fans will need to use the "Transit" app to book a round trip for $10.

As for those driving to the game, KAT provides a Park and Ride service from the Knoxville Civic Auditorium and Coliseum. This service includes parking and a round-trip shuttle ticket for a flat fee of $25 per vehicle. The shuttle will pick up fans between Garages A and B and drop them off at the Walters Life Sciences Building. Those looking for regular route options will also find adequate service, with multiple routes leading to Knoxville Station and connecting to the stadium area.

For fans attending the games, it's also important to note the recent upgrades and changes at Neyland Stadium. Knox News reports that this season, attendees can expect expanded gates, new food options like Texas Roadhouse, and updated restrooms. UT Police Department Chief Sean Patterson expressed confidence to Knox News that all stadium construction should be complete in time for the home opener. Additional enhancements include new Wi-Fi capabilities, less reclined chairbacks, and new graphics and murals throughout the facility.

Moreover, those using the LIFT paratransit service should be aware that while available, exceptions apply, such as excluding the home game on Saturday. This special service will drop off at Gate A21, offering assistance to those who might need it most.
