In a clear demonstration of quick law enforcement response, Kenner Police Department apprehended a suspect following an armed robbery involving a woman attempting to load groceries into her car. As reported by the Kenner Police Department, the incident occurred on September 13, 2025, around 9:20 a.m. when the suspect accosted the victim in the 3400 block of Williams Boulevard, demanding her keys at gunpoint.
The suspect, identified as 19-year-old Cedric Zeno from River Ridge, was unable to start the car and subsequently fled on foot Kenner Police Department officers were quick on the scene, flooding the area and arresting Zeno about a mile from the crime scene. After a positive identification by the victim, police found Zeno in possession of a handgun and a ski mask.
"Let this serve as a message —the Kenner Police Department trains and prides themselves on their quick response and protecting our businesses and citizens, and their quick actions today are proof of that!" expressed Police Chief Keith Conley. This sentiment underscored the effectiveness of the officers' performance, which ensured the safety of the victim and led to the suspect's apprehension, as stated by the Kenner Police Department Facebook's page.
