The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) has announced intermittent lane closures on I-275 in Knox County to support an ongoing bridge replacement project. Starting today until Thursday, nightly lane closures will occur from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. as crews remove portable barrier railing and apply texture coating to the median barrier wall, according to a Tennessee Department of Transportation release.
A full closure of the I-275 bridge over Elm Street and Bernard Avenue is scheduled from 7 p.m. Friday until 6 a.m. on Monday next week, weather permitting. Drivers should expect delays and use caution in the area.
This closure marks the third and final weekend of work on the bridge.
