LaGrange police are searching for Howard Lester, a former church elder at Broad Street Church of Christ, who is accused of embezzling more than $200,000 from a church business account.
According to FOX 5 Atlanta, Lester is also wanted in a separate felony theft case linked to his previous employment at Floors on Commerce in LaGrange, where he allegedly deprived a customer of more than $6,000.
His current whereabouts are unknown. Atlanta News First reported that officials are asking anyone with information to contact Detective Ligon at 706-883-2621 or send an anonymous tip via Tip411 by texting “LAGRANGE” to 847411. Police have issued case number 2025-09200075 and remind the public that Lester is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
