
A tragic incident unfolded on the streets of Lampasas last Saturday evening as a woman lost her life after being struck by a Dodge pickup truck. According to CBS Austin, the collision occurred around 8:37 p.m. in the 100 block of East Highway 190.
The Lampasas Police Department, quick to attend to the accident, reported that the woman was attempting to walk north across the highway when she was hit by the westbound pickup in the outside lane. Neither the driver nor the passenger in the truck sustained injuries. The identity of the woman has yet to be determined, and authorities are currently waiting to properly identify her before releasing any details to the public. As of now, her name will remain undisclosed until a positive identification has been made and her family has been notified.
Further details provided by KCEN-TV confirmed that the woman was hit by a 2013 Dodge 2500 pickup truck a block east of Key Avenue. The Lampasas Police Department has shared information related to the victim's identity with the medical examiner, and an autopsy has been ordered to confirm the cause of death, along with the formal identification of the victim.
