
The municipality of Lawton has officially welcomed its newest City Council member, Taron Epps, who was sworn in at the Wayne Gilley Auditorium on Tuesday. The ceremony was attended by family, friends, and local residents.
According to the City of Lawton, Epps represents Ward 2 and has more than 20 years of military experience, including three tours in combat zones. He is currently Executive Director of Business Development at Camgain and holds degrees from the University of Texas at San Antonio and Webster University.
Epps is active in community service, serving as a church elder, a board member of the McMahon Memorial Authority, and Vice Chairman of the Youth and Family Affairs Committee.
City officials noted his appointment to the council and outlined his background as part of their announcement.
