On August 30, Los Altos police officers pulled over a vehicle on Foothill Expressway near Springer Road, which led to an unexpected discovery within the confines of the car's interior.
According to a social media post by the City of Los Altos Police Department, the driver, who was on active Post Release Community Supervision (PRCS), had a loaded Glock 26 with a high-capacity magazine in their possession.
The encounter escalated when a female juvenile passenger in the vehicle was arrested on firearm and magazine violations. The young woman was booked into Santa Clara County Juvenile Hall.
