In a recent update concerning a fatal hit-and-run incident in Madisonville, Tennessee, local police have made significant headway in identifying a person of interest in connection with the tragic event that claimed the life of Larrylee Anthony Holtzclaw, 43, from Sweetwater. The Madisonville Police Department shared this advancement through a social media post detailing the efforts initiated after the incident on Oak Grove Road last Tuesday, which have led to steps toward potential prosecution.
The investigation, which began after the victim was struck by a vehicle around 11:30 PM and later pronounced dead at Sweetwater Hospital, has seen Madisonville's Criminal Investigations and Patrol Divisions join forces, meticulously examining surveillance and collecting various statements since the incident occurred. The law enforcement efforts have culminated in identifying a suspect vehicle and an associated person of interest. As per the update, a search warrant was subsequently granted for the vehicle on September 19th, with the vehicle having been taken in for evidence and sent to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation Crime Lab in Knoxville for further examination.
