The Memphis Police Department is currently investigating a shooting incident that left a man critically injured on Tuesday night in the Whitehaven area, as reported by Action News 5. Authorities responded to a call at 8:23 p.m. and found the victim on Auburn Road near East Raines Road. He was subsequently rushed to the hospital due to the severity of his injuries.
The area of the shooting, which is close to the Colonial Village Apartments, was teeming with law enforcement. WREG noted a heavy police presence as investigators worked the scene where the shooting took place, in the 4100 block of Auburn Road. The investigation is ongoing as officials are piecing together the circumstances of the incident.
As of now, no suspects have been detained in connection with the event.
