A tragic altercation led to the death of a 31-year-old man outside a South Loop business in Chicago on Friday night, authorities said. Chicago Police informed that around 9:30 p.m., a dispute escalated between the man and a 32-year-old employee of a business located near the intersection of East 13th Street and Michigan Avenue. During the conflict, the employee brandished a firearm, which subsequently discharged during the ensuing struggle, fatally wounding the 31-year-old man in the head.
Emergency responders from the Chicago Fire Department were quick to arrive at the scene, but despite their efforts, the man was declared deceased right there. The 32-year-old employee was taken into custody by the officers present, and a gun was recovered from the location of the unfortunate event.
