Chaos briefly overtook a slice of Midtown as police flooded the area of 1213 West Peachtree Street NE following a stabbing incident that left a 58-year-old man injured. According to the Atlanta Police Department's preliminary statement, the call came in close to the cusp of the evening yesterday, where officers discovered the man with a stab wound to his back shoulder.
Officials report that the man, though injured, remained conscious and able to breathe when medical responders arrived. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment. The circumstances leading up to the stabbing are still under investigation by the Aggravated Assault Unit.
