A man was fatally shot on Saturday evening in South Phoenix, and authorities are now in pursuit of the suspect, as confirmed by local law enforcement. The incident occurred near 5th Street and Wier Avenue around 7:15 p.m., according to reports from ABC15.
Upon arrival, officers found the man with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene by Phoenix fire crews, in a statement obtained by ABC15.
Police identified the victim as 43-year-old Antonio Trujillo, as reported by FOX 10 Phoenix. Police have not released information on what may have led to Trujillo’s shooting.
