The Marietta City Council has scheduled meetings for the community to engage with local government as they discuss upcoming agendas. Announced on the City's website, two sessions have been planned: an agenda work session on Monday, October 6, at 5:15 PM, and an agenda review session preceding the regular Council meeting on Wednesday, October 8, starting at 6:00 PM. The latter meeting is set to begin at 7:00 PM, providing residents with the opportunity to gather insights on the matters at hand.
For those unable to attend in person, Marietta will offer virtual access to City Council meetings, which will be broadcast live and archived online for future reference. Immediately following each meeting, an informal discussion is set to occur inside the same chamber, where Council members may further elaborate on civic topics, and the public can ask questions and provide comments directly to their elected officials.
Ensuring accessibility at every step, the City Council has committed to making agendas available online before the meeting dates. Those interested in attending, either physically or digitally, can access this information by visiting the City's official website at mariettaga.gov. Additionally, for any inquiries or more information about these sessions, citizens can contact the City Council at 770-794-5509.
Marietta City Hall at 205 Lawrence Street will host upcoming public meetings, giving residents a chance to engage in local discussions and decision-making.
