Memphis Police are investigating a shooting that happened on Beale Street near South Main around 10:15 p.m. during the 901 Day celebrations. Information about injuries is not yet available, as reported by Action News 5.
After a shooting near the Orpheum Theater, yellow crime scene tape was put up to secure the area. Two crime scene vans were present while police carried out their investigation. The male victim had a gunshot wound to his stomach that exited his back and was shot twice in his right arm. He was taken to Regional One Hospital in critical condition, according to WREG.
