
Memphis police are currently investigating an incident of aggravated assault that reportedly occurred late last Friday on I-240 near Poplar Avenue. The altercation, involving the driver of a luxury vehicle and another unnamed individual, escalated to the point of gun threats. According to the Memphis Police Departmente, at approximately 10:40 p.m., a male suspect driving a gray 2010 Mercedes SUV with Tennessee license plate number 008BDVH is stated to have brandished a firearm at the victim while both were on the move.
After the initial encounter, the victim attempted not only to evade but also to follow the assailant’s vehicle to Highway 70 near Stage Road. It was there that the male suspect reportedly exited his vehicle and made threats toward the victim before ultimately fleeing the scene. Additional details provided by the police describe the suspect as a fair-complexioned, thin male, likely in his late 20s to early 30s, standing between 5 feet 5 inches and 5 feet 6 inches tall. He was wearing dark clothing and had shoulder-length braids. The Memphis police report highlights the seriousness of the situation by noting that the aggressor was in possession of a black pistol.
