A recent theft from a motor vehicle has been reported in Memphis. According to the Memphis Police Department's news release, the incident occurred on 1535 Vance Avenue at the Home 2 Suites. On Tuesday at approximately 8:30 a.m., officers responded to the scene where they learned that the theft had actually taken place the previous night.
It was around 10:30 p.m. when two suspects, caught on a surveillance video, broke into a vehicle by forcefully entering through the driver's side door. Making attempts at the trunk, the suspects searched the vehicle, ultimately absconding with an iPad. Despite being seen on video, the suspects remain at large.
In an effort to apprehend the perpetrators, the Memphis Police are reaching out to the public for assistance. Anyone with information that could help recover the stolen property or lead to arrests is encouraged to contact Crime Stoppers. The organization allows tips to be submitted anonymously to protect those who come forward.
