Residents in the 4000 block of Atwood Avenue experienced a burglary incident last week involving two individuals who targeted a local resident’s truck. According to a report from the Memphis Police Department, the first theft occurred last Friday around 1:00 p.m., when a male suspect approached on a black bicycle and took a drill from the vehicle.
Surveillance footage indicates that the initial theft was followed by a second incident about 30 minutes later. The same individual returned, this time accompanied by another person and using a red Mazda SUV to take additional tools from the scene. The report states the first suspect, believed to be in his 40s, has long dreadlocks and was wearing a white ball cap, blue jeans, and a black backpack. The second suspect, described as a male possibly in his 50s, was seen wearing a white stocking cap, a black shirt, and red shorts while operating the red Mazda.
The Memphis Police are actively seeking information that could lead to the apprehension of the suspects involved. Authorities urge anyone with knowledge of the burglary or the suspects’ whereabouts to come forward and contact Crime Stoppers.
