Later in the evening, there's again a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms, though skies are expected to be mostly clear, with an easterly breeze closing the day.
The weekend is expected to bring increased sunshine, with Saturday mostly sunny and a high close to 93 degrees. Saturday night will be calm, leading into a Sunday afternoon with a chance of showers. The NWS report indicates a 20 percent chance of rain after 1 p.m., increasing to 40 percent by Sunday night.
As for Monday, forecasters predict a repeated pattern of 40 percent chances of thunderstorms against a mostly sunny sky, a mix of rain and sunshine is expected to continue through Tuesday, with the chance of rain rising to 50 percent Tuesday night. Wednesday’s forecast follows a similar pattern, while Thursday looks mostly sunny with a high near 87 degrees and a slight chance of showers.
