
Authorities in Miami Gardens are conducting investigations into a shooting that transpired early this morning at an apartment complex. The incident, which is said to have escalated from a fight among a group of boys, occurred after midnight off Northwest 191st Street and 27th Avenue, where a gun was drawn and a boy was shot and then airlifted to a hospital, although police have yet to confirm the details of the witness account, as reported by Local 10 News.
The investigation has extended to cover two locations, with detectives also present near Northwest 27th Court and 191st Street; meanwhile, a black car was observed stalled in the road by 7News cameras, amidst the inquiry into the events that led one man to sustain two gunshot wounds to the chest, his identity remains unrevealed as the man remains hospitalized at Aventura Hospital.
Fear amongst residents is palpable as they recall the tumultuous encounter, with one woman recounting to 7News, "It was like somebody was arguing, I ended up telling my husband to lay down and my husband was like ‘no they’re shooting, they’re shooting’. I said no just lay down because I am not going out there."
Normalcy has begun to trickle back to the streets, as Northwest 27th Court and 191st Street, which had been shut down due to the initial response, have since reopened and traffic has resumed, even though an active police presence persists within the apartment complex as officers continue their intricate probe into the shooting, anyone with information about the shooting is urged to call the Miami Gardens Police Department or Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-8477, according to Local 10 News.
