A Miami rabbi has been arrested and faces serious charges involving the alleged attempted exploitation of a minor. Levi Cash, 64, was taken into custody by the Delray Beach Police Department last Friday, according to reports from WPBF.
Arrested at approximately 3:56 p.m. at 300 W. Atlantic Ave., Cash is accused of attempting to engage in unlawful sexual activity with a minor. Authorities report he faces two felony charges: traveling to meet a minor for an unlawful sex act and using a two-way communication device to facilitate a felony. His bonds were reportedly set at $50,000 and $10,000, respectively. Following his arrest, Cash was booked into Palm Beach County Jail, as indicated by CBS12.
Stringent bond conditions accompanying the arrest mandate that Cash have no contact with individuals under the age of 18. Also, accessing the internet or possessing a smartphone equipped with internet capabilities are activities now prohibited for the suspect.
