In broad daylight chaos, a group of suspects attempted a smash-and-grab heist at a Milpitas jewelry store before being thwarted when the business owner fired a legally owned gun. According to a social media post by the Milpitas Police Department, the incident occurred yesterday, at approximately 1:26 PM near the 1530 block of Landess Avenue.
The suspects, numbering between ten and fifteen, rushed into the jewelry store with intentions clear as day: to abscond with valuables. Yet, they were met with the tenacity of a store owner unafraid to defend their establishment. No injuries were reported following the owner's defensive actions, and there appears to be a tactful halt to any theft as the suspects fled the scene before officers arrived. Milpitas Police are actively investigating the situation and have called upon the public for any information about the robbery attempt.
