Monroe police conducted a search at a residence on E. Front Street as part of a narcotics trafficking investigation. The action followed a tip about drug-related activity, as reported by the Monroe Public Safety Department.

Detectives, with the help of the Special Response Team, conducted a pre-dawn raid on a residence in the 500 block after receiving a tip. They found firearms, ammunition, and evidence of drug sales. "We are committed to disrupting illegal narcotics activity that threatens the safety of our community," said Director Tolstedt. Additional evidence confirmed a connection to drug trafficking, and the investigation is ongoing, as stated by the Monroe Public Safety Department.

According to the Monroe Public Safety Department on their Facebook page, the department is asking the public for help as the investigation continues. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Detective Kleinert at 734.243.7500.
