Rob Scherer reported, "When officers arrived, they located two adult males with at least one gunshot wound each. The men were transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries." In an unrelated incident during the early hours of the same day, a fatal shooting claimed the life of a man near 51st Avenue and McDowell Road. Responding officers found the victim already deceased from a gunshot wound.
