In a move that will pave the way for a new station and headquarters, the Nashville Fire Department is digging up its roots from 63 Hermitage Avenue and temporarily transplanting itself into the Bridgestone Building at the former Global Mall. The department made the announcement via a social media post yesterday, detailing the logistical shifts set to unfold this week.
While maintaining their presence in the heart of the community, the Fire Marshal’s Office and administrative operations will be finding a new temporary home. Moving day is marked in the calendar for October 6, beyond which the Hermitage Avenue location won't be accepting in-person visits or deliveries. The NFD will lay its temporary foundations at 5244 Hickory Hollow Parkway, Antioch, TN 37013. Yet, wrapped up in boxes and moved between walls, their mailing address remains steadfast at P.O. Box 196332, Nashville, TN 37219.
This transition may cause minor inconveniences to the community and partners, with potential delays in responses to walk-in inquiries. The NFD, as advised in their post, encourages individuals with pressing matters to directly contact relevant personnel.
