
The New Orleans Police Department is in the initial stages of a homicide investigation following an incident that took place on Thursday early morning. According to an official release from the New Orleans Police Department, officers were called to the 9000 block of Chef Menteur Highway in the city's Seventh District around 5:00 a.m.
Upon their arrival at the specified location, New Orleans Police Department officers discovered an unresponsive adult male inside a residence. The victim, found to have sustained stab wound(s), was declared deceased at the scene by responding personnel. The identity of the man, along with the official cause of death, is expected to be determined by the Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office following an autopsy and notification of his family, New Orleans Police Department News reports.
Meanwhile, New Orleans Police Department investigators are focusing on collecting evidence and information that could lead them to those responsible for the death. The motive behind the homicide is also part of their ongoing investigation. As of now, the police have not provided additional details regarding the case or any potential suspects.
