The New Orleans Police Department is reaching out to the community for help in tracking down Trevor Alan Cauthen, a person of interest in a case of illegal dumping that took place earlier this month.
Although not considered a suspect at this time, Trevor Alan Cauthen, a white male born on November 11, 2005, is believed to have crucial information pertaining to the incident of debris being carelessly discarded off the Michoud exit from Interstate 10 on September 9, as stated by NOPD investigators; this information comes from an online notice posted by the NOPD News.
The vehicle implicated in this illegal dumping event is a 1994 Ford F-150 pickup truck, which, according to public records and NOPD, is registered to Cauthen, who is listed at an address in Metairie, LA. A photo of the mentioned truck is available on the NOPD News report, offering a visual aid for citizens to assist in identifying the vehicle in question.
Authorities have made it clear that while Cauthen is not wanted, he is sought for questioning to aid in the illegal dumping investigation, where the act of disposal, a disregard for both the environment and the community's health, has caused concern among local residents and city officials alike; further emphasizing the need for public participation, as highlighted by the NOPD appeal—an appeal made in hopes of holding those responsible accountable and preserving the sanctity of their city.
