Details have emerged regarding a hit and run incident in New Orleans, as police turn to the public for assistance in tracking down the responsible party. The New Orleans Police Department released a statement about a collision that occurred last month on August 21, where an individual was left injured after their vehicle was hit by a mid-2000s Chevrolet Tahoe. The specific incident happened at around 4:37 p.m. at the Read Boulevard exit from Interstate 10. NOPD News reports that the Tahoe, which has notable front-end damage from the collision, fled the scene toward Wright Road, then disappeared.
The suspect vehicle, identified as a dark-colored Tahoe with dark-tinted windows, black rims, and towing a trailer, left the scene rapidly, according to the authorities. Making matters more urgent, the description provided by the NOPD also includes some distinguishing features: a trailer hitched at the rear, a telltale sign of the vehicle in question. Anyone with information has been encouraged to come forward as the NOPD continues their investigation.
