
Authorities in New Orleans are on the lookout for a suspect involved in an aggravated assault incident, which reportedly unfolded in the 1700 block of Hendee Street. The New Orleans Police Department has appealed to the public for help in tracking down Jakobe “Kobe” Stevens, a young Black male born on November 18, 2003.
The call to action came after an event that was said to have occurred around 10:48 a.m. on August 21, wherein Stevens is alleged to have threatened a victim with a firearm. There was no report of a physical altercation, but the seriousness of the threat with a deadly weapon has prompted authorities to pursue Stevens with urgency.
In an online post, the NOPD detailed the descriptions of the suspect and the incident, hoping that someone could offer information leading to his whereabouts. The NOPD news release stated, "Wanted is Jakobe “Kobe” Stevens (pictured), Black male, DOB 11/18/2003." Those with any knowledge of Stevens or the event have been encouraged to come forward and assist with the ongoing investigation.
