The New Orleans Police Department (NOPD) is seeking assistance from the public to locate a suspect involved in a business burglary that took place last year. The NOPD needs help finding Keddrick Demon Jones, who is suspected to have attempted to pry open an ATM at a business on Read Boulevard, causing himself an injury and leaving behind a trail of blood, according to NOPD News.

Investigators were able to collect blood samples from the scene which, after recent analysis, reportedly identified Jones as the man whose blood was found at the site of the burglary on July 30, 2024. Jones, described as an a Black male born on February 19, 2006, is not a stranger to law enforcement, with several active warrants already on file against him. Detectives have secured a Buccal Swab warrant to further confirm his DNA in connection with the ongoing burglary case.

The NOPD has been actively following leads and is reaching out to anyone who may have information regarding the whereabouts of Jones. The authorities have provided contact details for the Seventh District detectives at 504-658-6070 and have encouraged those who wish to maintain anonymity to reach out to Crimestoppers at (504) 822-1111.

While the authorities are pressing forward with their search for Jones, it is a core principle of the justice system that all persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
