Early this morning on Bourbon Street, New Orleans Police responded to a shooting that left three people injured. Officers arrived around 2:22 a.m. in the 200 block of Bourbon Street and found two women and one man with gunshot wounds. Sadly, one of the women died at the scene, highlighting the city’s ongoing struggle with gun violence, according to the New Orleans Police Department.

The investigation grew more serious when another victim was found near Saint Charles Avenue and Canal Street with a graze wound from the shooting. They were also taken for medical treatment. New Orleans Police Department have released images of four people who were at the scene—two unknown Black men and two unknown Black women. One of the men, described as heavyset, is believed to be the shooter. The others are considered persons of interest.
