Traffic on the Dolphin Expressway was disrupted over the weekend when a cement truck caught fire, producing heavy smoke and flames. The incident occurred on the eastbound lanes near the Palmetto Expressway in Northwest Miami-Dade early yesterday afternoon. According to WSVN, Miami-Dade Fire Rescue quickly arrived and extinguished the fire.
No injuries were reported. Eyewitnesses recorded videos on their phones, showing the fire and resulting traffic congestion. These videos were widely shared on social media and on WPLG Local 10’s Facebook page, which showed firefighters putting out the flames and clearing debris.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation as officials review evidence to determine what led to the incident.
